Today we started off the day with some persuasive writing! Students were tasked with writing a paragraph that either convinces the reader that technology in the classroom is valuable, or persuades the reader that it would be smarter to sell our technology and put the money towards other learning tools. Next, we had a special treat! Mrs. Docherty came into our classroom to do a read aloud with the grade fours. They worked on summarizing the story that was read aloud.
In math, we continued practicing our basic facts by playing a card game! Then, we continued our measurement unit by discussing perimeter and area.
In science/ literacy, students researched a question that they came up with around Waste in Our World. Stay tuned for their presentations next week on their findings!
We finished the day with our social studies posters! They are coming along really well
