We started our morning with a gratitude journal prompt, or a math problem! 

In shared reading, students worked on listening for key details and the main idea in a non-fiction book. Then, they wrote a summary.

Next, we went to gym! It was a fun soccer day!

In math, we practiced our basic division and multiplication facts! Please practice these at home if you are not already. Next, students continued with their area and multiplication stations. They worked on efficient strategies to figure out the area of a shape.

In our read aloud novel, The Wild Robot, students practiced their prediction skills! They were asked to predict what is going to happen next in the story, and then use their knowledge of the characters and story events to justify their prediction. 

Students also continued their science research on simple machines.

To end the day we worked on our social studies posters! They are almost done.
