Fabulous Friday

Good morning grade four families! We started off the day with music class and math games! Students practiced their basic multiplication and division facts up to 12x12 and 144/12. Then, we read with our little buddies.

During our snack break we played math and sound wall bingo to review prior concepts.

In the afternoon we read "The Giving Tree: A Retelling of a Traditional Metis Story." We practiced orally retelling the story by remembering the key details. Then we discussed why this story was important to pass on through the generations.

In art we did a project inspired by Alma Thomas.

Important Information

We will be transitioning from a daily agenda blog to a weekly agenda blog starting next week.  This once a week entry will be posted on Fridays and will contain:

  • highlights (with pictures) to provide information about what was learned during the week in Math, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.
  • tips for what students should continue to work on at home (when it is applicable)
  • important reminders for the coming week

We would like all families to take time each weekend to talk about the week, discuss new learning and check in with students about what is needed for the coming week.

Any other important information will be sent out via SchoolMessenger emails.  Please continue to check the School Website for Mrs. Brinson's weekly Northern Lights News as it has additional important information that families need.
