In math students have been learning about time! They completed word problems involving time, played a grade four version of what time is it Mr.Wolf outside, and practiced telling time by using a counting circle. We also reviewed previously taught concepts like multiplication, decimals, and percent.
In science and social studies students have been busy! In our lights and shadows unit we took advantage of the sunny weather to go outside and draw our own shadows. We then revisited our shadow art later on in the day to examine how our shadows move and change depending on the time of day. In social studies students reviewed key events and people who have shaped Alberta's history. They also started their settler homestead project.
In maker space we designed classrooms for next year.
In art students applied their learning about shadows, value, and 3D shapes to complete some outdoor sketches.
In writing students learned about writing autobiographies. They started a slides project all about themselves :)
